SyconX LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") operates ConnextLive, a cloud-based customer support and live chat platform ("Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information about you when you access or use the Service, and explains your rights regarding that information. By using ConnextLive, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1 Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal and business information:

  • Account information: name, email address, company name, and hashed password when you register.
  • Business data: website domains, workspace settings, agent profiles, and customer records you create within the platform.
  • Communication data: live chat conversations, messages, internal notes, and file attachments processed through the Service.
  • Visitor data: information about your website visitors collected via the ConnextLive widget, including IP addresses, browser type, device type, pages visited, session duration, and approximate geolocation.
  • Usage data: log files, feature interaction patterns, timestamps, and performance metrics.
  • Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: authentication tokens, session cookies, and optional preference cookies.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating, maintaining, and improving the Service.
  • Processing payments, managing subscriptions, and issuing invoices.
  • Sending transactional communications such as receipts, alerts, and service notifications.
  • Responding to support requests and technical inquiries.
  • Monitoring platform security, detecting fraud, and preventing unauthorized access.
  • Analyzing aggregate usage patterns to improve features and user experience.
  • Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

3 Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing necessary to deliver the Service you subscribed to.
  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and platform improvement.
  • Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Compliance with tax, financial, and other statutory requirements.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Optional communications such as product updates and promotional emails, which you may withdraw at any time.

4 Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Infrastructure providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting, object storage (S3), and email delivery (SES).
  • Payment processors: Stripe, Inc. for secure payment processing, subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Legal compliance: when required to respond to a valid legal process, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to confidentiality obligations.

All third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own independent purposes.

5 Cookies

ConnextLive uses the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: authentication tokens and session management required for the Service to function. These cannot be disabled.
  • Preference cookies: remembering your language selection and display settings.
  • Analytics cookies: understanding how users interact with the platform (may be disabled via browser settings).

You may configure your browser to refuse non-essential cookies; however, some features of the Service may not function properly as a result.

6 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

  • Upon account deletion, account data is removed within 30 days.
  • Chat logs and visitor data are anonymized or deleted within 60 days of account closure.
  • Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • Anonymized aggregate analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights:

  • EEA / UK Residents (GDPR): right to access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
  • California Residents (CCPA): right to know what personal information is collected, right to delete personal information, right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data), and right to non-discrimination.
  • All Users: right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8 International Data Transfers

SyconX LLC is based in the United States. Your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. For transfers of personal data from the EEA or the UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of protection.

9 Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including:

  • TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit.
  • bcrypt hashing for passwords (never stored in plaintext).
  • Role-based access control within the platform.
  • Per-tenant data isolation.
  • Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessments.

Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

10 Children's Privacy

ConnextLive is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account, or by posting a prominent notice within the Service, at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
